Started by Joseph Denneler, Esq. in 2014, Claims Assist is a full service risk management program that provides inspectors with a place to address all of their risk management questions and claim prevention issues. Having over 15 years experience assisting insepctors with litigation, regulatory compliance and continuing education, Joe is uniquely positioned to provide the advice and answers that nobody else can. Joe works continuously with insurers, regulators and inspector associations to see potential claims before they occur, and to efficiently deal with them when they arise.

Additionally, some Errors & Omissions insurance providers work directly with Joe and Claims Assist to respond to a claim. This feature, exclusive to Claims Assist, allows inspectors to notify their insurance provider of a claim without the claim becoming a "red flag" in the insepctor's insurance claim history if it is resolved through Claims Assist. Contact us for a list of the insurance providers working directly with Claims Assist, as the list is continuously growing.




Claims Assist Membership Limitations and Exclusions
The program does not provide claims assistance or risk management advice regarding any claims where a lawsuit or
demand for arbitration has been filed. In those instances the member is specifically encouraged to report the claim
to his or her insurance carrier or, in the case of no insurance, retain local counsel in the member's jurisdiction to
provide legal assistance. If member desires to retain Mr. Denneler to defend in that instance a separate
engagement agreement will be entered into for the defense of those cases. The program does not include
responses to or advice regarding claims that are not related to the member's inspection services. Claims do not
include any issues regarding the member's insurance coverage or whether insurance coverage applies to a
particular claim. The program does not provide legal representation generally to any member.

Program Description:
Membership based program for property inspectors providing property inspector members with assistance
responding to complaints and claims made by clients and third parties regarding the member's inspection services.

Member Benefits
1. Unlimited written responses to claims including review of all pertinent documents
and response to claimant/claimant's counsel. Turnaround time for letters up to three (3)
business days.
2. Follow-up communication as needed with claimant to resolve claim.
3. Unlimited e-mail responses to questions regarding inspector risk management.
Turnaround time for e-mails up to three (3) business days.

Claims Assist Membership Rates

1 Inspector $50 per month or $600 annually

Additional Comprehensive Risk Management Review
$1,500 each company (must be a Claims Assist Member)

1. Comprehensive review of member's advertising for compliance with the applicable inspector regulations,
standards of practice and code of ethics.
2. Comprehensive review of member's written reports and contracts for compliance with the applicable standards of
practice.
3. One-on-one consultation with attorney to review his findings and discuss how to fine tune your practice to meet
current inspector risk management issues
